Analisis Tindak Tutur Lokusi dalam Bahasa Batak pada Film Catatan Menantu Sinting: Kajian Etnolinguistik

Abstrak

This study aims to analyze locutionary speech acts in the Batak language through the film Catatan Menantu Sinting using an ethnolinguistic approach. This study focuses on various aspects such as the form, meaning, and function of locutionary speech acts uttered by the characters in depicting cultural values, social interactions, and the identity of the Batak community. The methodology used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection through observation, dialogue recording, and documentation of conversations presented in the film. Data analysis was carried out by utilizing the theory of locutionary speech acts and an ethnolinguistic approach to show the relationship between language and culture of the Batak people. The findings of this study indicate that locutionary speech acts in this film are dominated by statements, commands, and questions that describe the nature of Batak communication which is firm, transparent, and upholds family values. In addition, the use of customary terms, kinship greetings, and expressions that are typical of Batak shows a strong connection between language and culture in the social context of society. It is hoped that this research can contribute to the development of pragmatic and ethnolinguistic studies, especially regarding the use of regional languages ​​in films as a representation of local culture.
